Job Offers, Job Withdrawals, & an Orthodox Wedding (+More!)
In the last 2 weeks, the incidents below took place:
✻ Did an in-person interview for a job I really really wanted
✻ Had a job offer I received in January rescinded and instead was given the opportunity to apply for another I didn’t want
✻ Applied to job I didn’t want under a 24hr timeline
✻ Got call from job I wanted and was told they’d like to offer me job (tg)
✻ Attended a best friend’s bday party
✻ Attended a hiring pool and interviewed for a job in front of a 9-person panel
✻ Met with a friend I haven’t seen since December to catch up
✻ Got second job offer from hiring pool job for the location I wanted
✻ Called a friend I haven’t spoken to in super long
✻ Attended an orthodox Jewish wedding for the first time over the weekend for a cousin(ish) in law. I was exceptionally overstimulated (::::::
In between all this, I was trying to learn how to code my currents page and my cat profile pages. Had many failures and still am trying to figure out some things. I’m avoiding Gemini ai. I haven’t tried to figure out how to block it yet. My understanding is that it cannot be disabled, only hidden, so when you google, you still are forced to generate ai responses. I’d like to look into other indie web search engines to use instead of google.
I am starting a new job in mid-Sept. By then, it would be 50 weeks since I last worked. Going to be a massive transition for me.
